Shopify

A Shopify agency that builds for conversion, not applause.

Anyone can install a theme. The work that pays is the part after, product pages that answer objections, a checkout with nothing extra in it, and a store that still loads fast once you've added the apps you actually need.

Reviewing a Shopify storefront design

Most Shopify stores are not badly designed. They're badly assembled, a bought theme, fourteen apps that each add half a second of load time, and product pages that describe the product without ever answering the question stopping someone from buying it.

We build custom Shopify themes rather than reskinning a marketplace one, because that is where speed and conversion actually come from. It also means you own the thing, and a future developer can read it.

If Shopify isn't the right platform for you, we'll say so. We build WooCommerce too, so the recommendation isn't a sales position.

The problem

What's costing you
enquiries right now.

Product pages that describe, not sell

Thin copy, too few images, no sizing or shipping clarity, reviews missing. Every unanswered question is an abandoned cart.

App bloat

Every app you install adds scripts to every page. Most stores we audit can drop three or four with no loss of function and gain a second of load time.

Shipping revealed too late

The single biggest cause of checkout abandonment, and one of the easiest things to fix.

Nothing after the first order

No post-purchase flow and no reason to return. Repeat rate is where store economics are actually won.

What we build

What we actually
build on Shopify.

01

Custom themes, not reskins

Built from a clean base so the store stays fast and a future developer can actually work on it.

02

Product pages built to convert

Rich media, objection-handling copy, reviews, sizing, stock and delivery clarity, and sensible cross-sells.

03

Checkout friction removed

Shipping shown early, guest checkout, express payment methods and the fewest steps Shopify allows.

04

App audits

We regularly remove more than we add. Fewer apps usually means a faster store and a smaller monthly bill.

05

Custom apps when needed

Bespoke functionality when off-the-shelf genuinely can't do it, and an honest no when it can.

06

Migrations without SEO loss

Full URL mapping and redirects so rankings, orders and customer records all survive the move.

Shopify

Why we'd build this on Shopify

Shopify handles hosting, security and PCI compliance for you, which removes a category of work and risk from your plate. The trade is less control over checkout and a monthly platform cost that scales with you.

  • Hosting, security and PCI compliance handled for you
  • Mature app ecosystem for the things you shouldn't build yourself
  • Shopify Payments and every major gateway supported out of the box
How we work

From first call to launch.

  1. 01

    Store audit

We look at where the current store leaks (product pages, cart, checkout, speed), so the build targets real problems instead of assumptions.

  2. 02

    Structure and templates

Product, collection and cart templates designed around the objections your customers actually raise, not around a theme demo.

  3. 03

    Build

Custom theme development with weekly previews on a staging store, so there are no surprises at the end.

  4. 04

    Data and migration

Products, customers and orders moved across, with URL mapping and redirects if you're coming from another platform.

  5. 05

    Launch and monitor

We ship, watch Search Console and analytics for four weeks, and fix anything that moves the wrong way.

Budget

What moves the price on
a Shopify build.

We quote fixed prices per project rather than by the hour, so scope is what determines cost. These are the four things that move it most.

Catalogue size and complexity

Fifty simple products is a very different build from five thousand SKUs with variants, bundles and tiered pricing.

New build or migration

Migrations carry data mapping, redirect planning and validation work that a fresh build simply doesn't have.

Custom functionality

A standard storefront is predictable. Product configurators, subscription logic or a bespoke app are development projects with their own scope.

Integrations

ERP, 3PL, subscription billing and marketplace connections each add work, and each is worth scoping precisely before anyone quotes.

Every project is quoted individually. Tell us what you need and we'll come back within one business day with scope, timeline and a fixed price.

Traffic is rarely the problem. The gap between someone adding to cart and someone completing an order is where the money is, and it is almost always fixable.

That's why we audit before we design. It's cheaper to fix a leaking funnel than to buy more traffic to pour through the same holes.

FAQ

Questions brands
ask us most.

Do you use a premium theme or build custom?+

Custom, on a clean base. Premium themes are built to demo well across thousands of very different stores, which makes them heavy and awkward to modify. A custom theme is faster, easier to change later, and you own it outright.

Can you migrate our store without losing rankings?+

Yes, with proper planning. We map every existing URL to its new destination, put 301 redirects live at launch, keep titles and metadata that already rank, and monitor Search Console for four weeks. Traffic typically dips briefly then recovers.

How many apps should we be running?+

Fewer than you probably are. Every app injects scripts into every page. We audit what you have, remove what's redundant or replaceable with theme code, and keep the ones genuinely earning their keep.

Shopify or Shopify Plus?+

Plus is worth it if you need checkout customisation, B2B wholesale, multiple storefronts or higher API limits. Below roughly $1M in revenue, standard Shopify is usually the right call and we'll tell you so.

How long does a Shopify build take?+

4 to 8 weeks for most stores. Large catalogues, complex product configuration or heavy integration work run longer. You get an exact timeline with the quote.

Do you handle the store after launch?+

Yes, care plans covering updates, monitoring, performance and small changes, so the store doesn't quietly degrade once we've gone.
