Website design for e-commerce brands

E-commerce stores designed around the checkout.

Traffic isn't your problem. The gap between someone adding to cart and someone completing an order is where the money is, and it's almost always fixable.

Website design for e-commerce brands

Most stores are built to look good on the homepage and then leak revenue everywhere else, product pages that don't answer objections, a cart that surprises people with shipping cost, a checkout with too many steps. Those are design decisions, and they're recoverable.

We build on Shopify and WooCommerce, and we'll tell you honestly which one fits. Shopify for speed to market and lower operational overhead; WooCommerce when you need control, complex pricing or deep integration with systems you already run.

Building the site and ranking it are two different jobs. The second one is set out on SEO for e-commerce brands.

The problem

What's costing you
enquiries right now.

Product pages that don't sell

Thin descriptions, too few images, no size or fit guidance, reviews missing, every gap is an abandoned cart.

Shipping cost as a surprise

The single largest cause of cart abandonment, and almost entirely avoidable by showing it earlier.

Slow stores

App bloat and unoptimised images. Every second of load time measurably costs conversion.

Nothing after the first order

No post-purchase flow, no reason to come back. Repeat rate is where store economics are actually won.

What we build

Built for how e-commerce brands
actually win work.

01

Product pages built to convert

Rich media, objection-handling copy, reviews, size guidance, cross-sells and clear stock and delivery information.

02

Checkout friction removed

Shipping shown early, guest checkout, express payment options, and the fewest steps the platform allows.

03

Migrations without SEO loss

Platform moves with full URL mapping and redirects, so rankings, orders and customer data all survive.

04

Performance work

Image optimisation, app audits and theme tuning, usually the cheapest conversion gain available.

05

CRO as an ongoing programme

Structured testing on layout, copy and checkout, run monthly rather than as a one-off.

06

Post-purchase and retention

Order tracking, subscription options and email flows that lift repeat rate.

Shopify or WooCommerce

Why we'd build this on Shopify or WooCommerce

Shopify if you want lower operational overhead and faster launch. WooCommerce if you need custom pricing rules, complex catalogues, or tight integration with an ERP you already run. We build both, so the recommendation isn't self-serving.

  • Shopify for lower operational overhead and a faster launch
  • WooCommerce for custom pricing, B2B rules and ERP integration
  • We build both, so the recommendation isn't self-serving
How we work

From first call to launch.

  1. 01

    Conversion audit

Before designing anything we look at where the current store leaks (product pages, cart, checkout, speed), so the build targets real problems rather than assumptions.

  2. 02

    Platform recommendation

We assess whether Shopify or WooCommerce fits your catalogue, pricing rules and operations, and tell you plainly which one and why.

  3. 03

    Template design

Product, collection and cart templates designed around the objections your customers actually raise.

  4. 04

    Build and migration

Build and, where relevant, migrate with full URL mapping so rankings and order history survive the move.

  5. 05

    Launch and CRO

Launch with redirects and monitoring, then structured testing on layout, copy and checkout as an ongoing programme.

Budget

What moves the price on
a e-commerce brand website.

We quote fixed prices per project rather than by the hour, so scope is what determines cost. These are the four things that move it most.

Catalogue size and complexity

Fifty simple products is very different from five thousand SKUs with variants, bundles and tiered pricing.

Migration or new build

Migrations carry data mapping, redirect planning and validation work that a fresh build doesn't.

Custom functionality

Standard storefronts are predictable. Custom pricing logic, B2B wholesale rules, product configurators or bespoke apps are development projects.

Integrations

ERP, 3PL, subscription billing and marketplace connections each add scope, and each is worth scoping precisely before quoting.

Every project is quoted individually. Tell us what you need and we'll come back within one business day with scope, timeline and a fixed price.

Most stores don't have a traffic problem. They have a conversion problem hiding behind one, a product page that doesn't answer the obvious question, a shipping cost that appears too late, a checkout with one step too many.

Those are all fixable, and fixing them is almost always cheaper than buying more traffic to leak through the same holes.

FAQ

Questions e-commerce brands
ask us most.

Shopify or WooCommerce?+

Shopify if you want to move fast and keep operations simple, hosting, security and PCI compliance are handled for you. WooCommerce if you need control: custom pricing logic, complex product structures, B2B wholesale rules, or deep ERP integration. We build both and will tell you plainly which fits your situation.

Can you migrate without losing rankings?+

Yes, with proper planning. We map every existing URL to its new destination, put 301 redirects live at launch, preserve titles and metadata that already rank, and watch Search Console for four weeks afterwards. Traffic typically dips briefly then recovers.

How much can conversion realistically improve?+

It depends entirely on where you're starting. Stores with clear structural problems (slow load, hidden shipping, weak product pages), often see substantial gains from fixing the basics. Well-optimised stores gain in smaller increments through ongoing testing. We'd rather audit first than promise a number.

Do you build custom Shopify apps?+

Yes, when off-the-shelf apps genuinely can't do the job. Often the better answer is removing three apps rather than building a fourth, we'll say so if that's the case.

How long does a store build take?+

4 to 8 weeks for most builds. Migrations with large catalogues, or stores with complex product configuration, run longer.

Do you handle ongoing store maintenance?+

Yes, care plans covering updates, monitoring, performance and small changes, so the store doesn't quietly degrade after launch.
